Lets Erase The Stigma is an educational foundation with a big mission: to erase the stigma of mental illness.

We are a group of professionals, community leaders and youth with the desire to help organizations as they provide needed support to those living with mental illness.

LETS has the vision of establishing a presence on educational campuses across the United States. Youth of high school age and those matriculating on college or university campuses will soon have the opportunity to join a LETS club or chapter. Youth have the opportunity to learn about the different types of mental disorders and how to help erase the stigma of these illnesses when they join a LETS club or chapter. They will also be a driving force in helping change their peers’ views and perceptions of those with mental illness. LETS youth will attend regularly scheduled club/chapter meetings where they learn about what mental illness “is”. With this new knowledge firmly in place, the youth will be encouraged to share what they have learned with all who they meet.

LETS hopes to make a difference when it comes to youths’ understanding and views on someone living with a mental illness. The LETS team is cognizant of the energy and willingness of youth to learn, explore and take action, which is why the team has developed a program to support the Foundation’s vision. Participation in a LETS club at the high school level or becoming an active chapter member at a college or university is a right step toward erasing the stigma of mental illness.
